Having trained with "Second City" in
Toronto and Hamilton's Players Guild, Ben Guyatt began his career
as a professional comedian in 1980. Mr. Guyatt has performed in many
hundreds of club, corporate, and TV shows over the last 20 years.
As a Master of Ceremonies there are few that can come close but unknown
to many people, Ben Guyatt can also perform great stand-up comedy
with his razor sharp tongue and hilarious interactive approach.
The
following is a list of significant dates through the career of Ben
Guyatt.
1988
- Hosts and produces his first late night comedy show called "Eleven
After Midnight" for Hamilton's CHCH TV.
1989
- Writing for film and TV in Los Angeles, U.S.A.
1989 - Correspondent
for NTV in L.A.
1990 - Hosts and
produces his first stand-up comedy TV series, "Chaps Comedy
Club" for 26 episodes.
1991 - Hosts and
produces "Veranda Beach Comedy Club" for 26 episodes.
Both "Chaps" and "Veranda Beach" were aired
on CHCH TV and syndicated across Canada and overseas.
1992 - "Comedy
at Club 54" is created by Ben Guyatt, a show which he still
hosts and produces today. Ben Guyatt's Comedy at Club 54 is now
the world's longest running stand-up comedy television series. The
show is broadcast nationally on CHtv, the Comedy Network, and now
also on Global Television. International syndication includes the
United States, Europe, New Zealand, Australia, and the Caribbean.

2001 to 2003 - Ben Guyatt is currently writing and performing for television. His steady club dates include Burlington's Club 54 every Thursday night starting at 9 p.m. And keep your eyes open for his latest projects - writing a movie script entitled `Battlefield' and penning his first novel!
